Office of Student Assistance and Relief

The Office of Student Assistance and Relief (OSAR) is an office within the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, established to assist former, current, and prospective college students. For students whose school or program has closed, OSAR provides outreach services, assistance in obtaining transcripts and other school records, filing complaints, and access to state and federal tuition relief programs. OSAR also helps prospective students make informed choices by providing workshops, offering individualized assistance and guidance, and maintaining helpful resources in researching schools and educational programs. Students in need of assistance are encouraged to review the information and tools on this website and contact OSAR to connect with an OSAR team member.
